Congratulations to the South Australian artists and arts organisations who have secured funding in the latest round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program.
Recipients of the February 2024 round will share in more than $1.1 million, with funding supporting activities that are expected to employ more than 570 artists and arts workers.
Fifty-eight grants have been recommended, spanning the art form areas of performing arts, literature, and visual art, craft and design.
Funded activity includes support for Beacon Studios to develop a new work, GNOSIS, which fuses holographic technology with contemporary dance and is set to premiere as part of the 2025 Illuminate Adelaide Festival.
Funding will also assist Piri Eddy to complete the first draft of manuscript Coastlines, a literary climate fiction novel set in a degrading Fleurieu Peninsula, and the Love Woodside community group to create a mural on the SA Water tank and utility building on Ridge Road in Woodside.
Grant applications were assessed against published criteria by sector representatives with specialist art form, arts practice, arts management, and cultural expertise.
Information about each grant category and recipients is available in the full list of recipients below.
The next round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program will open on Monday 20 May 2024.
