The state government has announced membership of the new advisory body set to examine work insecurity and income inequality for South Australian artists.

Artists at Work Taskforce

Following last year’s call for expressions of interest, 27 experts from across the arts, cultural and creative industries, and encompassing legal, industrial relations and employment experience, have been selected for the Artists at Work Taskforce.

As a non-statutory advisory body, the Taskforce will provide independent advice on issues related to the work insecurity and income inequality some artists and creatives face in South Australia.

The Taskforce will make recommendations for actions to address these challenges, within the parameters of authority and levers available to the state government.

Recommendations will address industry-wide issues, as well as the specific needs of different sectors of the South Australian arts landscape, and will be detailed in a final report to the Minister for Arts.
