The Department of the Premier Cabinet (DPC) delivers technology, cyber security and digital leadership for South Australian Government, industry and citizens. We assist agencies by providing ICT, digital and security policies, guidelines, standards and toolkits.
See the ICT, Cyber Security and Digital Government Strategy which sets out our plan for 2020 to 2025.
Our areas of expertise are summarised below.
We provide whole of government services and the ICT infrastructure for South Australian Government. We embrace new technologies to deliver seamless services.
Cyber security and emergency management
We safeguard the state’s infrastructure, digital assets and citizen information against cybercrime and espionage.
We also manage the Control Agency for Cyber Crisis function on behalf of DPC. The function is established under South Australia’s Emergency Management Arrangements. When a cyber crisis occurs that requires a coordinated government response, we are responsible for the response to the incident and the subsequent recovery effort. Resources from agencies and suppliers are coordinated to minimise disturbance and risk.
We lead digital innovation and online services which are co-designed with our stakeholders to improve and streamline citizen’s interaction with government. View our initiatives.
Information and services for South Australians
The SA.GOV.AU website provides a single location for citizens to find information and complete a range of online transactions. It contains information about services provided by all South Australian Government departments in one central place.
Information is organised by topics of interest instead of departments or portfolios, making it easier for South Australian citizens and businesses to find a service or information without needing to know the name of the responsible department.
The website also contains many useful directories, including health and community services, as well as information ranging from how to apply for a Seniors Card through to saving energy at home.
