The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), leads the South Australian Government’s technology, cyber security and digital government strategies and policies and is the central service provider for whole of government technology and cyber security services and platforms.

Our vision

As a thought leader and provider of many across government technology, cyber security and digital government services, we are enabling South Australians to live and thrive in a digital world. By embedding a co-design approach in everything we do, we ensure services are designed and built around the needs of government, businesses and the community.

Our vision is further articulated in the ICT, Cyber Security and Digital Government Strategy 2020-25.

Our expertise

Technology

We provide whole of government services and the ICT infrastructure for the Government of South Australia. We embrace new technologies to deliver seamless services.

Cyber security and emergency management

We safeguard the state’s infrastructure, digital assets and citizen information against cybercrime and espionage.

We also manage the Control Agency for Cyber Crisis function on behalf of DPC. The function is established under South Australia’s Emergency Management Arrangements. When a cyber crisis occurs that requires a coordinated government response, we are responsible for the response to the incident and the subsequent recovery effort. Resources from agencies and suppliers are coordinated to minimise disturbance and risk.

Information and services for South Australians

The SA.GOV.AU website provides a single location for citizens to find information and complete a range of online transactions. It contains information about services provided by all Government of South Australia departments in one central place.

Information is organised by topics of interest instead of departments or portfolios, making it easier for South Australian citizens and businesses to find a service or information without needing to know the name of the responsible department.

The website also contains many useful directories, including health and community services, as well as information ranging from how to apply for a Seniors Card through to saving energy at home.
