Investing in artists, organisations and the community, Arts South Australia supports a vibrant professional arts and culture ecology.

The Arts and Culture Grants Program offers a variety of grants in three program streams – Development, Projects and Major Projects.

In the October 2023 round, high value categories will be open.

Major Projects – Major Commission grant of $100,000 provides a significant investment in a major new work by a leading South Australian independent artist, group or arts and cultural organisation. Projects must have a significant public outcome and be launched/ presented/ premiered/ exhibited first in South Australia in a high-profile setting. Major Projects – Collaboration grant of $100,000 is a partnership opportunity, encouraging strategic and innovative collaborations across the arts sector, with a focus on risk-taking, knowledge and resource sharing and new employment opportunities. Fellowships grant of $50,000 supports individual professional artists, creatives and cultural leaders to undertake a sustained period of creative development that will strengthen and extend their professional practice and contribute to the arts and cultural ecology in South Australia.
