The state government is developing a landmark state cultural policy to set a long-term vision for supporting arts, culture and creativity in South Australia.

The new arts, culture and creative sector policy will develop new strategic approaches for South Australia to support a robust cultural infrastructure, a thriving ecology and artists and creatives who have sustainable and fulfilling careers. The Policy will be released in 2024.

Arts South Australia is embarking on an engagement process as a key part of the policy development. It is vital that the voices of artists, arts workers, creative practitioners and people working in the cultural sector are reflected in the policy.

You can be involved by:

  • reading the discussion paper
  • completing the online survey
  • submitting a response to the discussion paper
  • participating in a workshop
  • attending the online town hall meeting.

People from across the South Australian arts, culture and creative sectors are encouraged to participate.
