We are pleased to launch a new framework to guide our diversity and inclusion efforts for the next two years.

Our Diversity and Inclusion Framework 2023-25 (PDF, 3.1 MB) sets out our guiding principles to shape our department’s efforts and guide every employee on the actions they can take to be inclusive in our workplace.

Aligned with our strategic objectives, it specifically outlines commitments under five action plans:

  • Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan
  • Age Inclusive Employment Plan
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) Action Plan
  • First Nations Employment Plan
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and agender/asexual/aromantic + (LGBTIQA+) Inclusion Plan.

It also complements the plans developed independently under separate policy or legislative requirements, including our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, and Gender Equality and Respect Action Plan.

This framework will help us foster a workplace where everyone belongs and model a workforce that represents the community we serve.
