For transparency and accountability, the department records membership and remuneration details of government boards and committees within a secure database, the Boards and Committees Information System (BCIS).
Information about boards and committees is tabled in Parliament each year in the form of an annual report. The report is a snapshot of the data recorded on BCIS as at 30 June and includes:
- the names of Boards and Committees (in Ministerial portfolio order)
- the names of board members
- the applicable remuneration entitlements for board members
- the gender composition of the boards and committees.
