Congratulations to the individuals, teams and organisations honoured for their outstanding contributions to promoting multiculturalism in our community.

2024 Governor's Multicultural Awards winners

The 2024 awards were presented by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, in a ceremony at Government House on Wednesday 5 March 2025.

The 12 award recipients were chosen from 31 finalists across nine categories.

Congratulations to the 2024 Governor’s Multicultural Awards winners:

  • Outstanding Individual Achievement Award – Dr Jelina Haines
  • Arts and Culture Award – Mr Wonho Chong
  • Community Sector Award – Power Community Limited
  • Media Award – Mr Fahim Hashimy
  • Private Sector Award (joint winners) – Mr Nick Shrestha and IKEA Adelaide
  • Public Sector Award – Mr Farid Nait-Ladjemil
  • Volunteer Award (joint winners) – Ms Maria Berekally and Ms Mursal Jamshedi
  • Senior Volunteer Award (joint winners) – Mrs Balbir Kaur Grewal and Mrs Yasmeen Kajani
  • Youth Award – Harmony Club

The Governor’s Multicultural Awards celebrate and acknowledge the dedicated individuals, teams and organisations making a positive contribution to multiculturalism in our state.
