Construction activity on the South Course of the North Adelaide Public Golf Course commenced Monday 27 April 2026.
To enable safe works, public access to the construction area is restricted for the duration of the construction period.

Works involved
To create a new championship course, the following works will occur:
- earthworks to shape each fairway
- installation of irrigation
- creation of new golf cart and walking pathways
- landscaping and improvement of natural rough areas.
Construction hours
Commencing from 27 April 2026, works will occur:
- Monday to Friday: 7am to 6pm
- Saturdays: 7am to 1pm.
Inclement weather may impact these hours. Any works required outside of these hours will be communicated to nearby residents in advance.
Support areas
Roads surrounding the construction area will form construction support areas.
There may be intermittent impacts across support areas. These will be communicated to affected stakeholders as required.
Fencing
For the safety of workers and the community, the construction area will be temporarily fenced for the duration of works.
Traffic management
To support construction activity, ttraffic conditions will be implemented.
From 27 April 2026
There will be speed limit reductions along sections of War Memorial Drive between Montefiore Road and Park Terrace.
Between 27 April and 1 May 2026
There will be intermittent north bound road closures along Montefiore Road between War Memorial Drive and Montefiore Hill.
Vehicle access
During construction, vehicles will enter the site via four main gates:
- two gates along War Memorial Drive (heavy vehicles)
- two gates along Strangways Terrace (commercial and light vehicles).
Construction personnel vehicles will be parked onsite within the construction area.
Dust management
To help minimise dust leaving the construction site, shade cloth has been installed along temporary fencing, water carts will be used as a suppression method, and fairways will be grassed progressively to avoid leaving soil exposed for long periods of time.
Bikeways and shared pathways
Due to site safety, access to some paths will be restricted.
A network of pathways surrounding the construction area will remain open for ease of people who regularly access this area of the park lands. Directional signage will be installed to assist users in accessing these paths.
Public transport
No impacts to transportation are anticipated to occur over the course of the construction period.
