Congratulations to the winners of the 2023 Governor’s Multicultural Awards.

Ten outstanding individuals, teams and organisations have been recognised for their positive contribution to multiculturalism and intercultural understanding, and for promoting our culturally diverse state.

The awards were presented by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia in an award ceremony at Government House on Thursday 29 February 2024.

The ten award recipients were chosen from 25 finalists across nine award categories:

  • Outstanding Individual Achievement Award: Ms Rosa Matto
  • Arts and Culture Award: Ms Elizabeth Sykora
  • Community Sector Award: Mr Nader Ibrahim; and STTARS – South East
  • Media Award: Mr Eric Ho
  • Private Sector Award: Southern Cultural Immersion
  • Public Sector Award: Lifetime Support Authority, People and Partnerships
  • Volunteer Award: Mr Rahim Zaidi
  • Senior Volunteer Award: Mrs Giovanna De Cianni
  • Youth Award: Ms Delnia Palani
