More success for Government of South Australia’s Online Accessibility Toolkit at the #TechDiversity Awards 2022.

The state government’s Online Accessibility Toolkit wasrecently awarded merits in the Government and Accessibility categories of the national #TechDiversity Awards.

The #TechDiversity Awards recognise s individuals and groups within business, government, education, and marketing, media and advertising organisations that have demonstrated leadership through diversity and inclusion initiatives across all gender and minority groups within the Australian tech sector.

More than 400 guests from around Australia attended the awards dinner in Melbourne on Thursday 26 May – with hundreds more participating online – where the toolkit was also shortlisted for the Inclusivity and Social Impact award.

These merit awards and nominations highlight the South Australian government’s ongoing commitment to online accessibility and digital inclusion.

The state government’s Online Accessibility Toolkit was co-desig i ned by the community and launched in 2019. Since then, it has been assisting public, private and not for profit organisations make their digital platforms more accessible.

The toolkit contains a wealth of resources, support and advice on visual design, content, user experience, development and project management, and are is available for anyone to use at no cost.
