As a state we have a strong sense of cultural identity and a proud history as a national leader in the arts, cultural and creative industries which form part of our collective DNA.

CreateSA (formerly Arts South Australia) is leading the development of the draft Bill, which seeks to:

• recognise the importance of the arts, culture and creative industries in South Australia
• ensure that all South Australians benefit from and can participate in the arts, culture and creativity of our state
• provide a firm foundation for A Place to Create, our state’s new 10-year cultural policy for all South Australians.

Public consultation is currently open and closes on Sunday 27 April 2025.
