Bringing their collective experience and knowledge from across multiple art forms and arts organisations, the Advisory Panel will provide strategic and expert advice, support and feedback that will guide and strengthen Arts South Australia on best cultural practices within Aboriginal arts in South Australia.

The panel comprises members:

  • Dominic Guerrera (Ngarrindjeri / Kaurna / Italian)
  • Thomas Readett (Ngarrindjeri)
  • Celia Coulthard (Adnyamathanha)
  • Jermaine Hampton (Arrernte / Luritja / Mangarayi)
  • Deb Edwards (Yankunytjatjara)
  • Kiah Buckskin-James (Narungga / Wirangu / Southern Arrernte)
  • Dre Ngatokorua (Wangkangurru, Adnyamathanha, Kuyani, Luritja, Deiri, Yankunytjatjara, Cook Island, Maori).

The Advisory Panel is joined by Lee-Ann Tjunypa Buckskin who acted as interim Chair at the first meeting and who will be playing the vital role as an “Industry Mentor” and an extra resource to the Advisory Panel. Lee-Ann comes with an expansive arts career over 30 years including First Nations Strategy Executive at the South Australian Film Corporation and Chair of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board and the Deputy Chair for 12 years at the Australia Council for the Arts.

All members are active in the South Australian arts and culture sector – including as practicing artists, arts workers and administrators – and have been appointed for a two-year term.
