A State Service of thanksgiving for the life, work and witness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II took place at 6pm on Tuesday 20 September at St Peter’s Cathedral.
The service paid respect to Her Majesty The Queen and her more than 70 years of service to South Australia and the Commonwealth.
Her Majesty The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral on 8 September 2022.
The State Service provided an opportunity for South Australians to come together and reflect on Her Majesty The Queen’s achievements and dedicated service to the state.
Members of the public were welcome to attend, with seating available within the cathedral and the service also broadcast on screens outside.
The State Service was live-streamed for those unable to attend.
