CreateSA (formerly Arts South Australia) leads South Australia’s strategic agenda across our vibrant and diverse arts, cultural and creative sectors.
In 2025, CreateSA launched A Place to Create - a 10-year cultural policy for all South Australians to continue building a strong and sustainable cultural future for our state.
This state-wide policy aligns with the National Cultural Policy, Revive, and complements the South Australian Economic Statement.
It is also informed by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Strategy for South Australia, through which CreateSA commits to supporting the artistic and cultural practices of the Aboriginal communities in South Australia, in a culturally safe manner.
Through CreateSA, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet provides ongoing funding to many of South Australia’s cultural statutory authorities and arts, cultural and creative organisations.
