Changes to the agency
During 2024-25 the following changes were made to the agency’s structure as a result of internal reviews or machinery of government changes:
- The Government Advertising and Insights Hub (the Hub) was established on 24 February 2025. The Hub was established through a machinery of government transfer process of existing resources.
- The Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment transferred from the Attorney-General’s Department on 1 July 2024 and is an attached office to DPC.
- The responsibility for the Lobbyist Register transferred to the Attorney General’s Department from DPC on 1 July 2024.
- The Office of the Chief Information Officer, Digital Programs and the Office for Data Analytics transferred from DPC to the Department of Treasury and Finance on 1 July 2024.
- The Population Strategy function transferred from DPC to the Department of State Development on 1 July 2024.
Hon Peter Bryden Malinauskas MP – Premier
Peter Malinauskas is the 47th Premier of South Australia and was elected as the Member for Croydon at the 2018 state election. Prior to this, Peter served as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council from 2015 to 2018.
Hon Zoe Lee Bettison MP – Minister for Multicultural Affairs
Zoe Bettison is the South Australian Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs. Zoe was elected to the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Ramsay in 2012.
Hon Andrea Michaels MP – Minister for Arts
Andrea Michaels is the South Australian Minister for Small and Family Business, Consumer and Business Affairs, and Arts. Andrea is also the Member for Enfield, representing the community in Adelaide’s inner north and north-eastern suburbs.
Hon Emily Bourke MLC – Minister for Autism
Emily Bourke is the South Australian Minister for Autism, appointed in January 2025. Emily has been a member of the South Australian Legislative Council since 2018.

Infrastructure SA
Led by Chief Executive, Mr Jeremy Conway, Infrastructure SA (ISA) was established on 26 November 2018 under the Infrastructure SA Act 2018 and is an independent advisory body. ISA provides independent expert advice to government on the planning, management and delivery of major capital investment over $50 million. ISA combines the expertise of the private and public sectors to develop a state infrastructure strategy to grow the economy, support local jobs and meet the needs of communities across South Australia. ISA produces an independent annual report, accessible via the ISA website.
Office of the South Australian Productivity Commission
The South Australian Productivity Commission (SAPC) was established on 22 October 2018 and is supported by the Office of the South Australian Productivity Commission (OSAPC), attached to DPC. The OSAPC is led by Chief Executive, Mr Steve Whetton, who reports to the Premier. The OSAPC is an independent body that makes recommendations to the government to facilitate productivity growth, unlock new economic opportunities, support job creation and remove existing regulatory barriers. The OSAPC produces an independent annual report, accessible via the SAPC website.
Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment
The Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment (OCPSE) is an attached office to DPC and is led by the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment, Erma Ranieri, who holds a statutory role under the Public Sector Act 2009. OCPSE is committed to developing an innovative, responsive and inclusive public sector that benefits all South Australians. OCPSE plays a pivotal role in shaping public sector policy, culture, leadership, capability and integrity across a workforce of more than 100,000 employees. OCPSE produces an independent annual report which is accessible via the OCPSE website.
Premier’s Delivery Unit
The Premier’s Delivery Unit was established on 14 April 2022 to oversee the delivery of identified SA Government priorities, including all election commitments. The Office of the Premier’s Delivery Unit is led by Chief Executive, Mr Rik Morris, who reports to the Premier. The Premier’s Delivery Unit produces an independent annual report, accessible via the DPC website.
South Australian Motor Sport Board
The South Australian Motor Sport Board is a statutory authority, re-established on 8 September 2022 pursuant to the South Australian Motor Sport Act 1984. The board's responsibilities are to manage and drive national and international awareness of motorsport events in South Australia, as well as attracting motorsport events to our state. The SAMSB has been charged with providing opportunities to promote the local economy by prioritising South Australian businesses to showcase their products and to ensure that local suppliers are prioritised for local events. The SAMSB produces an independent annual report, accessible via the SAMSB website.
State Governor’s Establishment
The State Governor’s Establishment supports the Governor of South Australia.
