The Information Sharing Guidelines (ISG) for promoting safety and wellbeing provide a practical framework for appropriate information sharing practice. The ISG are designed to give providers of services to children, young people and adults, confidence in sharing information to prevent harm or respond to current threats to safety and wellbeing.

Responsibility for the ISG has recently transitioned from Ombudsman SA to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
