The 2021 Multicultural Festival will be held in the heart of the city on the north side of Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga, Adelaide.
Public access to and from the event will be via the gates on Reconciliation Plaza (the road that passes between Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga).
Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga is in the heart of the city with several options to help you get to the event easily. You can also consider carpooling or taking public transport, cycling or walking in support of our sustainable event.
The Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga tram stop is a short walk from the event venue. Travel free within the city centre (anywhere between North Terrace and the South Terrace stop). Outside of this zone, you'll need to purchase a ticket. You can find all route and timetable information on the Adelaide Metro website.
City Connector Bus
Take advantage of the free City Connector bus, offering a hop-on and hop-off service to the City and North Adelaide linking. Bus route 98A and 98C connect North Adelaide with the city, and 99A and 99C connect the inner-city.
Services operate every 30 minutes on weekends.

There are a range of short and long-term parking facilities, both on-street and off-street within the city of Adelaide with many parking options near Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga.

Cash and eftpos purchases
The 2021 Multicultural Festival is free to enter.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from stallholders.
Stallholders are responsible for their own payment methods, which may include cash and eftpos.
There are no ATM or cash withdrawal machines located within the event or Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga. Visit your banks website for the location of your nearest ATM.
The 2021 Multicultural Festival is an accessible event.
Wheelchair access to the event will be via the main entry gate on Reconciliation Plaza (the road that passes between Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga West-East).
Other than assistance animals, pets and other animals are not permitted inside the 2021 Multicultural Festival event venue.
A ‘three bins waste system’ (dry waste, can and bottles and organic) will be used at this event. Food waste should be disposed of in the green bins only. Please ensure you use the correct bin for your waste.
Single-use plastics (i.e. straws, cutlery and stirrers, including bioplastic alternatives) are prohibited from supply and distribution in South Australia and will not be used at the event.
- The following items are strictly prohibited at the 2021 Multicultural Festival. Please do not bring or display any of the following items.
- Balloons and confetti
- Animals (other than assistance animals)
- Alcohol or illicit drugs
- Political slogans or paraphernalia
- Plastic straws, cutlery and serving items
- Dangerous and prohibited weapons.
Security personnel will be at the event and will be identifiable via their gold shirt with ‘Security’ on the back.
Be aware of and alert to any specious activity, and immediately report it to event staff or security.
If you have concerns regarding security on the day, please immediately approach event staff or security to report your concerns.
Please note there are no secure facilities to leave bags or personal belongings. It is recommended that you do leave any personal belongings unattended and that you carefully consider the need to bring any valuables to the event.
First Aid will be provided at the event by St Johns First Aid and is available for all event attendees and participants if required. First Aid will be located at the North end of the site on the Eastern Promenade, next to the Information Desk (on the right-hand side if you are facing the Stage).
In the case of an emergency, please immediately ask event staff or security for assistance and if required they will also contact St Johns to attend.
Event day support
The Information Desk will be located at the Northern end of the site on the Eastern Promenade, (close to the stage and on the right-hand side if you are facing the Stage).
Speak to staff at the Information Desk for program information or any other questions and support to help you enjoy your time at the event.
An SA Water Quench Bench will be located at the mid-southern end of the site on the Eastern Promenade near the toilet facilities (on the right-hand side of the site if you are facing the Stage). You can use the SA Water Quench Bench to refill personal water bottles for free.
