The Social Affairs Cabinet Committee (SACC), chaired by the Minister for Health and Wellbeing, drives the development and implementation of the government’s commitment to strategic reforms in social policy from a whole of government perspective, including delivery models, resource allocation and stakeholder engagement.
SACC considers items relating to:
- strategic priorities in the areas of health and disability reform
- child protection, including evidence-based family support strategies
- building workforce skills and capability, including improving teaching standards and education outcomes, and
- whole of government issues that have the potential to affect the cost of living.
SACC also monitors the status of key social affairs commitments and reforms.
