The Economic Growth Cabinet Committee (EGCC), chaired by the Minister for Energy and Mining, drives the government’s economic development priorities to build a dynamic economy that provides new job opportunities, fosters entrepreneurialism, and strengthens the future of the state in line with the government’s 2036 vision for South Australia.

EGCC considers items relating to driving strategic economic growth, increasing the competitiveness of the business environment, lifting productivity, increasing exports, unlocking private investment, and unlocking resources and production in regional areas.

EGCC also monitors the status of key commitments and reforms in the areas of economic development, including the effective design and delivery of Growth State: Our plan for prosperity; the South Australian Government’s plan for economic growth.

Proposals for funding from the Economic and Business Growth Fund must be approved by EGCC before Cabinet consideration.
