Enjoy a sensory feast at the State Library of South Australia when it hosts a spectacular laser and lighting display, as part of the Illuminate Adelaide Festival.

The display is dedicated to the work of Stanislaus (Stan) Ostoja-Kotkowski who earned an international reputation in the field of sound and laser image technology over his 50 years plus career.

The State Library of South Australia houses a rich array of materials relating to the work of Stanislaus and this collection is a prized asset in South Australia’s cultural history.

Robin Fox, one of the world’s most recognised audio-visual artists, has been commissioned by Illuminate Adelaide to work with the State Library in the lead-up to the festival.

Robin has viewed and researched the artworks of Stanislaus to develop a new audio-visual art installation entitled ‘Library of Light – Homage to Ostoja-Kotkowski #1’.

Every night of the Illuminate Adelaide Festival, the State Library’s atrium will host Robin’s performance which utilises state-of-the-art laser and lighting technology.

Don’t miss this free event when ‘Library of Light’ bursts into life on Friday, 16 July 2021. The show starts at 6pm and finishes at 11pm.
