Congratulations to the 47 grant recipients whose funding allocations total more than $1 million.

The October 2021 round of the Government of South Australia’s Arts and Culture Grants Program welcomed applications from individuals, groups and organisations in a range of categories.

Brink Productions was among the successful applicants. Working in partnership with the State Theatre Company South Australia, the organisation will receive $100,000 to develop and present H Lawrence Sumner’s The Hollow Queen at the Dunstan Playhouse. Brink Productions’ staging of The Hollow Queen represents the Playhouse’s first ever premiere of a work by a South Australian First Nations playwright. The grant was awarded in the category Major Projects – Major Commission.

The Arts and Culture Grants Program supports professional practising artists and arts organisations to develop and create work, build partnerships and engage with audiences. It enhances South Australia’s longstanding reputation as a place for arts and culture.

Arts South Australia is accepting applications to the program’s February 2022 round until 5pm on 7 February 2022. The round will fund activity commencing on or after 18 April 2022.
