2020 Ruby Awards

The Ruby Awards honour the best of South Australia’s arts and culture sector.

Named after late arts patron, Dame Ruby Litchfield, the annual awards recognise artistic excellence, creative achievement, innovation, community involvement and inspirational leadership.

Winners were announced on 16 December 2020.

South Australian Living Artist Publication

The annual South Australian Living Artist Publication supports the production of a major, high-quality book profiling an established South Australian visual artist or craftsperson with a significant track record of achievement in their area of practice.

Nominations are invited from individuals and organisations for professional practicing visual art, craft and design practitioners working and living in South Australia. Self-nominations will also be accepted.

Edinburgh Fringe Award

The Edinburgh Fringe Award (formerly Made in Adelaide) showcases the work of South Australian artists at the Edinburgh Fringe, putting a spotlight on our creatives, presenters, producers and companies in the heart of the international festivals circuit.

Please note: This award opens during Adelaide Fringe 2021, for South Australian artists participating in the Adelaide Fringe who are intending to take their production to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2021.

Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature

The Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature are presented every two years during Adelaide Writers’ Week as part of the Adelaide Festival. The awards will next be presented in 2022.

The awards celebrate South Australia's writing culture by offering national and state-based literary prizes, as well as three fellowships for South Australian writers.
