The Arts and Culture Digital Access Plan aims to improve the public’s access to digital assets. It takes what is already well underway in South Australia’s cultural heritage institutions and:

  • expands and extend best practices more widely across the sector
  • builds on existing national and international relationships and networks such as Collab, the North Terrace Cultural Precinct’s digital innovation lab, to foster digitisation expertise and skills
  • identifies opportunities for digital collaboration across both major and dispersed collections
  • provides practical mechanisms to address operational and strategic digitisation and digital infrastructure needs going forward.

The Plan does not replace individual organisational digitisation planning, but rather informs how strategic and sector-wide initiatives can be identified and progressed.
