The Department of the Premier and Cabinet, along with other state government departments, is formalising its commitment to Reconciliation by developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

RAPs are practical plans of action built on relationships, respect and opportunities. The RAP initiative was established by Reconciliation Australia in 2006, with finalised RAPs registered with Reconciliation Australia.

Our commitment to embedding Reconciliation activities in our work every day is reflected in our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan March 2020 – March 2023 (PDF, 7.3 MB).

Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation is also leading the development of a whole-of-government RAP, which is a deliverable under the Aboriginal Affairs Action Plan.
