We are fortunate to live in a diverse, multicultural society.
This week we celebrate Harmony Week – an occasion that celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity and is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Harmony Week coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 21 – a day where we can take the time to reflect on our own attitudes and stand up against racial prejudice and intolerance.
At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, our vision is for a workforce that reflects our community and equally provides a culturally safe and inclusive workplace.
We are incredibly lucky to live in such a culturally vibrant country and have the freedom to celebrate our rich diversity, including that of the world’s longest living continuing culture, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
We are proud to support a diverse and inclusive workplace and community.
