A three-month statewide consultation on South Australia’s involvement in the nuclear fuel cycle begins today in Adelaide.

Nuclear information session, Rundle Mall, Adelaide.

More than 100 sites will be visited across more than 60 towns in what the Premier has called the most significant consultation ever undertaken in the state.

Teams from the newly formed Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission Consultation and Response Agency will begin visiting communities to explain the Royal Commission’s report and gather important feedback.

Sessions will feature interactive displays, models, videos and fact sheets, as well as having members of the Response Agency team on hand to answer questions and take community responses.

Members of the public are encouraged to drop in to sessions at any time between 11am and 7pm, and talk face-to-face with the consultation team, learn more about the Royal Commission’s Report and its recommendations.

Feedback gathered through the consultation process will play a key role in informing the State Government’s response to the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission Report which will be delivered by the end of the year.
